The 54 COACH programs are designed for coaches and teachers who want to apply the VISION54 approach to their own field of expertise. The How to Coach program is for anyone wanting more skills to coach themselves, another person or group. The What to Coach program is for golf teachers and coaches wanting to learn the foundation of the VISION54 Essential Playing Skills.
54 COACH What to Coach
The What to Coach program will focus on your learning of the VISION54 foundation and specifically the Essential Playing Skills.
During this two-day program you will be introduced to tools you can use as a coach/teacher to integrate all the elements that influence performance in golf: physical, technical, mental, emotional, social and spirit of the game. From this complete game view we have distilled our 8 Essential Playing Skills and 2 Practice Essentials. During the two days of training you will learn the theory, science and application of each playing essential.
The 8 Essential Playing Skills are:
Play box
Decision and Commitment
Balance
Tempo
Tension awareness
Emotional resilience
Storage of memory
Self-talk
The Essential Playing Skills complement any technical preference that a player or teacher/coach believe in.
54 COACH How to Coach
The How to Coach program will improve your coaching abilities both on and off the course. The program goes further than improving your golf coaching, as it serves to create a stable foundation for the actual coach with regards to life. The course will challenge your preconceived notions of coaching and re-direct your focus onto establishing a better foundation for you as a coach. This program is ideal for any and all coaches. It is also most beneficial for anyone that is seeking a better understanding of Sport and/or Life Coaching and interaction with people, students, family, or themselves.
During this two-day training program we will guide you on how to become clear on your own beliefs and intentions for coaching. We believe one of the major roles in coaching is to enable others to learn and take ownership of that learning. When coaches give power to the people/players they are coaching they ultimately allow them to make better decisions and enhance their long-term learning and development. This training program will increase awareness of your strengths and potential areas for improvement. You will get to practice your communication skills, learn how to develop an integral approach to coaching golf, and decide on your own “maintenance & future practice” as a coach/teacher.
Some main topics:
How to discover clarity of your own intentions and beliefs.
How to coach and support players to be their own best coaches
How to ask questions, listen and give feedback in the most effective way
How to create trust with the players you coach

Testimonials
"Lynn Marriott and Pia Nilsson are two of the best communicators we have in the teaching industry, and it is reflected in their energy and unselfishness to share their knowledge with their peers. Their latest collaboration in print, The Game Before The Game, reflects their insight into how we all can take the next step to improving our game. Having known both Lynn and Pia for many years and witnessed the success of their golf schools, I invite golfers everywhere to take advantage of Lynn and Pia’s latest research. May it form some positive “swing thoughts” for you as you enjoy your next round of golf."
--Brian Whitcomb, President of The PGA of America
"From a teaching perspective I have watched and listened to Lynn and Pia over the last 15 years and they have created a very comprehensive but simple approach to getting the most out of their students, without complicating the process. Everyone in teaching, as well as those who want to reach their potential, should apply their ideas."
